We all know what palindromes are but did you know that semordnilap is the term for a word that spells a different word or phrase backwards? You’re thinking what a strange, awkward word that is until you realize that semordnilap is actually palindromes spelled, you guessed it, backwards. So, is it a coincidence that dog spelled backwards is god? Maybe but that unlikely symmetry is another mystery of the universe equal to how you never see your neighbours bring groceries into their homes.ย

Now, youโre asking, โJason, what does this have to do with photography?โ. The answer is absolutely nothing but it was the only semi-clever idea I had to segue into this week’s topic. Even if you donโt like dogs (which would be absolutely mental) you canโt say you never learn something new here. You will probably continue on thinking most of it is completely useless until that fateful trivia night in your local pub when the winning answer is one you learned here. Thatโs ok, I will patiently wait for your thank you.
Pups arenโt just our bestest buddies in the world but they are paws down the most fun subjects to photograph and always ready to party with a photo session. In fact, the Internet was invented for pooch pics. People will say thatโs not true and it is actually for cats but we all know that just sounds like something a cat would say.ย
All you need is to grab a squeaky toy, mash down on that camera shutter and you will always be guaranteed to end up with photographic gold. Word of advice: buy those stuffies in bulk because youโll 100% be giving up the one youโre using to your canine client. There can be no argument on this, it is one of the hard and fast rules; right up there along with not being allowed to fake throw a ball.ย

There are always lots of pets searching for their forever homes. Please be sure to support your local / regional animal shelter or connect using adoption tools like petfinder.
